Which Camera Better for Underwater Photography and Video? Sony DSC-T20 or Sony DSC-T100?
Sony DSC-T20 or Sony DSC-T100 & why?
They seem pretty similar to me, but someone that is smart with cameras might be able to help me out!

Really the only major difference between the two cameras I see is the optical zoom. The DSC-T20 with 3x and the DSC-T100 with 5x. When you are doing underwater photography distortions in the water will possibly cause ripples in your pictures. This is very similar to distortions and ripples in the air that cause problems in SLR lenses with very high focal lengths (or telescope type setups) in astro or long range photography. This means using the optical zoom with these cameras wont do you all that much good. With the DSC-T100 the extra 5x zoom will cost you an extra 70 dollars so maybe it is worth it to loose the 5x and go with the 3x for your underwater endeavors. If this camera will be used for just underwater photography, Id go with the DSC-T20.

Both are not waterproof camera unless you get waterproof case.From those 2 models I would recommend Sony DSC-T20 with great zoom.Pictures are great sharp & clear.

or if you want good water proof camera I would suggest Canon D10.
