SCUBA means you use compressed air tanks and snorkeling means you breathe out of a tube.
SCUBA = Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.

    About $200 per hour.

You use a air tank in scuba diving and you use a snorkel in snorkeling. And snorkeling is much more fun i think.

They’re almost the same it’s diving to the ocean and swimming to see fish and aquatic animals

Scuba diving is done beneath the surface of the water with an air tank. Snorkeling uses a face mask and breathing tube only and is done on the surface of the water.

In snorkelling, you use a snorkel tube to get air. If you submerge, you need to hold your breath. With scuba, you have an air tank full of compressed air. This enables you to breathe underwater.

Snorkeling is viewing what’s underwater from the surface or near it. You can dive down, but only for as long as you can hold your breath. It is also called skin diving.

Scuba as mentioned is taking compressed gas (it is not always just air…) to depth. Scuba requires proper training and certification and there are more risks associated with it. However, it opens up a whole new world being able to see the fish, skarks, marine mammals etc from there level. And even seeing ship wrecks etc.

Snorkeling is a good way to start, and many of the skills learned there (mainly comfort in the water) translate well to Scuba diving.
