It depends on what sort of thing interests you.
For wrecks:
1/The Great Lakes. The cold, fresh water keeps even ships that went down in the mid 1800′s relatively intact.
2/ The south pacific, namely the Solomon Islands area, for historical WW2 wrecks. Palau is good too.
3/ Scapa Flo in Scotland for an entire fleet of interned WW1 German warships, from battle ships to destroyers.
For wildlife:
1/ Either the Australian barrier reef or the barrier reef off central america (Belize, Honduras and Cozumel)
For Cavern diving:
1/ The sink holes in Florida.
2/ The cenotes in the Yucatan of Mexico.
Warm water is always better than cold water.
I enjoyed the Cayman Islands the best.Shore Diving is the Bomb!!
