As much as you want
Just dont drink WHILE youre scuba diving
Im not a doctor, but I think you might kinda die.
That’s going to vary from person to person, but a minimum of 8 hours sober time before diving is a must. Your life can be in danger if you dive while under the slightest influence.
About 5 beers an hour, drunk scuba diving is the best!
Best Not, Scuba no childs play !
Why do u need the booze 2 spoil u’r vacations
If u r a social drinker – no harm , a lil bit before sleep !
(best of luck , cause i cannot drink !)
i hate alcohol.
Try not to drink at all during the holiday. Under no circumstances do any scuba whilst under the influence. Even a little could harm you. Try to leav like 6 hours or more before scuba and stick to soft drink.
You can drink a few hours after finishing you dive, but it may increase chances of getting DCS (bends).
Also alcohol will increase chances of Nitrogen narcosis, which is not something you want underwater. Most places consider a single drink as the end of diving for that day.
You being a new diver I would recommend zero alcohol consumption if you are going to scuba dive. Either drink or dive, one or the other, but not both. ( I’m not condoning drinking one way or the other for you, just answering your question about drinking and diving). Actually, the biggest health problem from alcohol, except for the obvious, while scuba diving is dehydration.
I’m sure you have experienced, after a night of drinking, you wake up the next day being very thirsty. All you want to do is drink water or some other non-alcohol drink to quench that thirst.
So, dehydration is a big health danger while diving, because the air you breath from your tank is compressed and very, very dry!!! This compressed dry air sucks the moisture from your body very rapidly while diving, which dehydrates you even more. Have you ever experience a dry parched feeling throat after diving? That is the air from your scuba tank taking the moisture from your body. I’m sure your scuba instructor told you to drink lots of water before and after diving. That’s why!!!
So, in my professional opinion, please do not drink if you are scuba diving, because you are so new to diving. Just don’t want you to hurt yourself.
If you aren’t going to take my advice about zero alcohol, then no more then two drinks, and then drink plenty of water. No sport drinks or Gatorade, bad for you if you’re scuba diving, just water. Hope you have a great time on your vacation…..Be Safe!!!
