Do I Need To Take A Scuba Class Before Going On A Scuba Trip Tour In Hawaii?

Going to Hawaii this summer, and I saw some offers for scuba at Molokini crater. I have never scuba’d before, so will they let me do it, or do I need prior training? Should I just stick with snorkeling?

You sure don’t. On each guided tour to Molokini each boat has 4 Dive Masters. 2 for Certified Divers and 2 for Non-Certified, the Certified Divers are taken on a dive while Non-Certs are taught how and what to do on a dive then you will be taken down with 3 other Non Certs in a different spot than the Certs…you won’t go down more than 35-40 feet. You will LOVE it! If you aren’t comfortable doing that you can do SNUBA…a combo of Scuba and Snorkelling! Aloha

Call them up. They should have a training tank where they teach you how before you actually go. Most places will teach you on the spot.
