Buyer Beware
Buyer beware,
I signed up with a group called Shore Scuba, they were very close to the marina where I have been docked. I paid $ 275.00 for advanced open water certification, and also bought a hood, flashlight set and knife.I completed my first deep dive at Dutch which was convenient for me as I live close. I explained to Ken Hoffman ( who was the manager) my schedule. I head to the shore on Fridays, and I leave on Sunday mornings. I was to complete deep dive, navigation, and night diving. I asked to be called during the week with a schedule before I went to the shore. The call always came on a Sunday. The first whole season went by and no cert. I kept in contact understanding the scheduling was tough. The second season came and went also. Phone calls ect. How about shore dives with the group ect. always some reason they were not going out. Fall of 2008 I stopped in, and reminded them I was still around Jackie Foley the shop owner was in. She also gave me a story. I replied I really wanted to get this taken care of in the Spring I hope you will still be here. Well guess what happened? Shore scuba is no longer in business I have sent mail to all the names listed on the web site requesting a refund to apply it to another shop for the AOW cert. and stated on hard feelings. Tried people search, and 411 not one reply. Another lesson learned. Im sure at some point I will see them somewhere.
